"I will do my best," Isak replied, rummaging for the keys in his pocket. He hopped in the car and searched for the nearest market using his phone, then drove off to gather what he wanted.
He returned two or so hours later, parking where he had before. As he closed the hatch, he shifted the bags he carried in his hands. Two were full of cans of beans and corn, one had a few wrapped packages of fresh fish, one had a variety of vegetables, and under his other arm was a paper bag, inside of which was a bottle of his favorite scotch. He lugged it all inside and set everything down on a counter, remembering to be extra careful with the bottle.
"Surprisingly, they had the scotch," he said, taking it out of the bag. He showed it to Ives. "Lagavulin 21. My favorite of all time."
