Not quite, but close enough for government work.

Just don't fall, hmm? Don't want it to literally take your breathe away.

"I will be careful," Isak replied with a laugh. "I am generally very sure-footed. I like hiking." He rummaged in his pocket to take out his phone, so he could take a few pictures of the view. After taking some, he slipped the device back into his pocket and let out a happy sigh. "So, what is next on the docket? Anything?"

Nothing in particular, I just enjoy the view. I've made good memories here . . .

"Mm, okej. I think I am getting a bit hungry, so would you mind if we went back to the Fort so I could eat some of the food I brought?"

Of course not. Food is very important, after all.

Isak nodded happily, his stomach echoing with a little growl of its own. He stood from where he was sitting and dusted himself off. He glanced around and then pointed in what he thought was the right direction.

"That way, ja?"

That's the way, yes. *He laughs suddenly.* We can get there faster if you hang on to me.

"Mm, okej,," Isak replied, somewhat hesitantly. "Just .. hold onto your shoulders? Or .. ?"

*Ives picks him up like he weighs nothing.* I'm stronger than I look, remember? *And off they go, at insanely high speed, with Ives grinning at Isak like a madman the whole way.*

"-- Oh," Isak said, blinking. "This is a little awkward for me," he added with a sheepish sort of laugh. He was barely unable to open his eyes due to the wind gusting in his face, so he was unable to appreciate the scenery as it whizzed by. But he could gauge how quickly they moved, based on the force of the wind against his body.

*It's . . . well, not as fast as a car. But a lot faster than a human should ever be able to run, and he's barely winded be the time they get back to the fort.*

Well, that was fun.

Isak stood stagnant for a few moments after being placed down to gather his bearings. He still felt like the world was moving at a much more rapid pace than he had ever experienced before. His legs were a bit like jelly.

"Mm, ja. Quite an -- adjustment, for me," he said with a laugh.

Understandable. Even I'm not entirely used to the fact that I can do it.

"Really?" Isak asked, surprised. "Is that a side effect from -- you said you absorbed someone's strength when you eat them, right? Is this a side effect of that?"

Speed is one application of strength, yes-and rather an enjoyable one, at that.

What are you having for dinner, if I may ask? I may join you, if it's something I like--although you might not like what I do with my portion. Best not think about it, really.

"Ehmm .. I am not sure, actually," Isak replied. "I brought a lot of snack-type items. I may venture into whatever the nearest town is and pick up some local fare. Fish, most likely."

*He nods.* It's a bit of a ways, but I think you have that car, hmm?

"Ja. Is there -- anything you would like for me to pick up for you? While I am out?"

Hmm? Oh, perhaps some scotch if they have any that's good. I could use some beans and some corn, as well . . .

"Ja, okej. I will get all of that for you. Do you have a preference for your Scotch?"

Not especially, as long as it's good.

"I will see if they have the one that I like. It is not commonly found, but it is my favorite -- hopefully you will enjoy it, as well, should they have it."

That sounds . . . quite lovely, actually.

"I will do my best," Isak replied, rummaging for the keys in his pocket. He hopped in the car and searched for the nearest market using his phone, then drove off to gather what he wanted.

He returned two or so hours later, parking where he had before. As he closed the hatch, he shifted the bags he carried in his hands. Two were full of cans of beans and corn, one had a few wrapped packages of fresh fish, one had a variety of vegetables, and under his other arm was a paper bag, inside of which was a bottle of his favorite scotch. He lugged it all inside and set everything down on a counter, remembering to be extra careful with the bottle.

"Surprisingly, they had the scotch," he said, taking it out of the bag. He showed it to Ives. "Lagavulin 21. My favorite of all time."

*He starts putting things away with a smile.* That does indeed look like a very fine scotch. Thank you.

What kind of dish are you thinking of making?

I have only seen quotes floating around, don't know anything about it. That sounds fun tho!
